Description

Montgomery`s Cheddar – Our favourite cheddar, a hard traditional clothbound Somerset Cheddar. Wash it down with a Hoppy IPA, West Country Cider, Oloroso Sherry or Maderira Wine.

Colston Bassett Stilton – One of the best blues in the world! This cheese is buttery, biscuity and savoury. Try this with a glass of Port,Sauternes, Sweet Sherry and even a glass of Whisky.

Tunworth – A cheese based on the French Camembert de Normandie. It is a bloomy rind cheese which means it has a white rind like a Brie. It is a very soft cheese that ripens quickly and bakes well too. You simply need to loosen its paper and keep it in the box to bake in the oven for a winter treat. Stud it with rosemary and garlic for an extra boost.

Dorstone – This goat’s cheese is made by Neal’s Yard Creamery. It is coated in vegetable ash giving its characteristic snowy grey coating. The cheese texture is moussey, whipped and soft with fresh flavours of goat’s milk, lemon and a little sweetness. This is a lighter style goat’s cheese which complements a board nicely. Pair it with a sweet jam (fig for instance) for a winning combination.

Edmund Tew – A washed rind cheese based on the French cheese called Langres. The wrinkles and orange colour come from the combination of bacteria, yeasts and rind wash. As Edmund Tew has a bold flavour, it stands up well to being paired with Ciders, Dark Beers and even a number of spirits like Whisky and Rum.
